Operation Restore Justice

On July 21, in our post The End of Cheap Labor, we argued that the huge increase in illegal immigration that occurred under former President Biden was harmful to the financial well-being of poor and middle-class American citizens, in that it drove down the wages of the American working class. However, there is an even darker side of Biden open border policy. As described in article in The American Conservative website, “illegal immigration is a horror show of exploitation and human misery.”

According to the New York Times, prostitution has exploded into a “$3 billion-a-year industry…The frequently middle-aged women who work in parlors are often struggling to pay off high debts to family members, loan sharks, labor traffickers and lawyers who help them file phony asylum claims. In some cases, their passports are taken, and their illegal immigration status keeps them further in the shadows.” Polaris, an anti-trafficking organization, analyzed information on sex-trafficked women to find some 52 percent were illegals. Another study found 72 percent of sex workers were immigrants.

Sadly, Biden’s open-door policy allowed more than 300,000 unaccompanied minors to disappear, with many of them handed over to unvetted "caretakers" who disappeared without a trace. Some children wound up as sex slaves or as slave labor, making money for the cartels that some say exceeded that which came from their drug trafficking business. The numbers are staggering. According to the Free Press: Forced labor and prostitution among underage migrants have more than tripled under President Biden.

Fortunately, the Federal Government is starting to do something about this horrific situation. Today, HHS Secretary, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., in an appearance before the Senate Finance Committee, stated “We are doing our part to fulfill the president's commitment to stop human trafficking, especially of children. We inherited a terrible humanitarian crisis from the previous administration with its open border policies which allowed the appalling loss of 476,000 unaccompanied children. We have implemented policies now to ensure that that appalling tragedy can never happen again. We have knocked on 82,000 doors and located 22,000 of those children. I promise you that we will do more in the next three years.”

Perhaps more importantly, FBI Director Kash Patel has announced a major operation to combat child predators, known as Operation Restore Justice. This operation has led to the arrest of over 200 child sex predators and the rescue of 115 children across the country. The operation involved coordinated efforts by all 55 FBI field offices and the Department of Justice, aiming to identify, track, and arrest child sex predators. The announcement was made by Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel. who emphasized that no predator is out of reach and no child will be forgotten.

In the words of the FBI Director, "Every child deserves to grow up free from fear and exploitation, and the FBI will continue to be relentless in our pursuit of those who exploit the most vulnerable among us…Operation Restore Justice demonstrates that no predator is beyond reach and no child will be forgotten.”

In an era where every little thing is politicized and fought over, all Americans should be united and support this effort of the Trump Administration to protect our children from the predators who prey on children.

As for those predators, we’d say - Lock ‘em up and throw away the key!
